AQUAOX FAQ’s

What is Aquaox disinfectant?

Aquaox is a powerful weapon in the war against viruses and bacteria and is approved for use in medical,
institutional, industrial and commercial settings. It is an EPA-approved, hospital-grade disinfectant capable of killing
harmful and deadly pathogens. It is so natural that your own white blood cells generate this substance to protect
your body from invading pathogens. In other words, we’re bottling one of the same compounds produced by your
immune system! The product is electrolyzed water—a hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solution. A product approved for
use from the emergency room to the nursery or day-care center, this broad-spectrum disinfectant is the one-step
answer to your disinfecting needs.

What does it kill?

Aquaox is an EPA-registered disinfectant. Aquaox 275 has been proven effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
Staphylococcus aureus, Swine Influenza Virus (H1N1), and Salmonella enterica. Aquaox 525 has been proven
effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus (HA-MRSA), Swine Influenza virus (H1N1),
Escherichia coli (NDM), Vancomydin Resistant Enterococcus feacalis (VRE), Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1
(HIV-1), Mycobacterium bovis (BCG), and Salmonella enterica. For up to date efficacy claims, please refer to our
EPA-registered labels. EPA Reg. No: 93392-1 and EPA Reg. No: 93392-2.

Our products are made of salt and water. That’s it! The process of ridding facilities and homes of dangerous
pathogens should not be dangerous itself.

How is it produced?

Allen Marine manufactures HOCl products in our Sitka facility by introducing electricity to a solution of saltwater via
state-of-the art machinery. Aquaox electrolyzed water has superior germicidal and biocidal properties.

How do I apply it?

For broad or large-scale coverage, HOCl can be applied to rooms and other public spaces via foggers, such as
electrostatic sprayers. This is a powerful way to eliminate human error in cleaning, as the chemical reaches places
that are often neglected by staff using spray and wipe techniques. It can also be applied with traditional spray
bottles, hoses, etc. For heavily soiled areas, a preliminary cleaning is required before applying Aquaox.

How long does it take for the product to work?

This product should always be used as directed. Treated surfaces must remain wet for 10 minutes and allowed to
air dry.

What about "Super Bugs"?

HOCl is proven against superbugs, such as MRSA. Micro-organisms cannot develop resistance to HOCl, unlike
traditional chemical agents.

Is there a scent?

Aquaox has no added fragrances. It has the slight chlorine smell characteristic of HOCl—similar to a swimming
pool environment. This smell dissipates quickly after use.

What's in it?

Aquaox is made by introducing electricity to a salt and water solution. Aquaox has no added fragrances, dyes,
preservatives, or surfactants. It does not harm the skin or create dangerous fumes. As such, it can be applied
without respiratory and chemical side effects.
Aquaox disinfectant takes its brilliant blueprint from nature. White blood cells generate HOCl to protect our bodies
from invading pathogens. Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery in our Sitka facility, we replicate this process by
running an electrical charge through a solution of salt and water—effectively and efficiently creating HOCl.

How often should I apply it?

As often as you need to disinfect an area or surface. No need to worry about toxic chemicals or residue. Gloves are
unnecessary. Rinsing and wiping are unnecessary! This is a product that can be used from the emergency room to
the daycare.

If HOCl is so powerful, why am I just hearing about it?

The main contributing factor that has limited widespread use of HOCl is a relatively short shelf life. However,
modern advancements, including the manufacturing process employed at our facility, have improved shelf-life
stability of HOCl. The need for constant disinfecting has grown and workers should not be forced to bear the brunt
of an increased onslaught of hazardous chemicals that can result in serous health conditions. Allen Marine will work
with your organization to ensure timely, consistent delivery of our product.

What is the shelf life?

The product should be used within 30 days after it is produced in our facility. After this timeframe, product may still
be used as long as it is tested with a chlorine test kit to ensure appropriate chlorine concentration (see label for
specifics to each product).

Is HOCl currently being used?

Many people and organizations utilize HOCl as an ideal solution for sanitation of homes, commercial business,
schools, nurseries, daycares, restrooms, cafeterias, food processing plants, and more.
